Our Story

Sarah Terry Support Ltd was founded in 2021 but has been running as a community based day service since November 2013. Although the name has changed over the years, one thing has remained the same since the start, being a modern day service that allows users to access the community and achieve individual goals. 

Over the years, the day service has grown in size, meaning that in 2023, we moved into our new home, allowing us to access the community from a central location whilst also hosting in house activity days filled with arts & crafts, games, movies, baking and much more.

I have been involved in the care and support industry for over 20 years , starting my own support service in 2013 with a small group of clients who are still with me 10 years on . Over the years our client base has extended and become more inclusive, enabling us to offer wheelchair care and access . We currently cater for a wonderfully diverse group of young people who have progressed through the education system and now require a quality day service.  

I am NVQ level 3 qualified in social care, whilst also being skip, peg and medication trained. Some of my experience and qualifications include dealing with challenging behaviour, safe-guarding of clients whilst also understanding autism, epilepsy. Through my training I have learnt about General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), risk assessments and mental capacity, whilst also knowing how the correct procedures for administering first aid.
